Accessibility Statement

Our Approach

VETOSEC works to make digital content accessible to as many people as possible. This website is built with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) as a reference.

Current State of Compliance

This website is partially accessible. It meets the majority of the WCAG 2.1 AA requirements, but there are individual areas that still need improvement.

This assessment is based on an internal accessibility review carried out in January 2026. The review was conducted on selected, representative pages and reflects a snapshot in time. No external conformance audit has been performed.

Focus areas of our internal review

Among other things, the review covered the following areas:

  • Keyboard navigation on the main pages
  • Basic compatibility with common screen readers
  • Colour contrast and text readability
  • Alternative text for content-relevant images
  • Semantic HTML structure and heading hierarchy
  • Labels on form fields

We cannot rule out that individual pieces of content or components may not fully meet the requirements. Automated tools such as Google Lighthouse only cover a subset of the WCAG criteria.

Technical Limitations and Known Issues

Although we have worked to make this website as accessible as possible, some technical limitations may exist that could cause accessibility issues:

  • Embedded Third-Party Content: Some external content (such as third-party iframes) cannot be fully controlled by us and may not meet all accessibility standards.
  • Browser Compatibility: Accessibility features work best with modern browsers and current screen reader versions.
  • Dynamic Content: For dynamically added content, ARIA labels may not always be fully available.
  • Legacy Content: Older blog articles or archived content may not have been fully updated and could contain accessibility gaps.

Compliance with Austrian Law

This website is a pure information website and does not fall under the requirements of Austria's Barrierefreiheitsgesetz (BaFG) because:

  • No Transactional Services: We do not offer transactional digital services (no online shops, ticketing, booking, online chat, or digital payment systems).
  • Pure Information Website: The website is used solely for informational purposes.

Note: Should we implement client portals, online booking systems, or other transactional services in the future, these will be fully compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and EN 301 549 standards from the date of implementation.

Ongoing improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing process for us. When we notice room for improvement, or someone points it out, we work on it step by step. We cannot give a timeline or completeness guarantee.

Assistive technologies considered

During our internal review we spot-checked basic flows with the screen reader built into Windows (Narrator), as well as with browser zoom and high-contrast modes. We have not tested with every assistive technology available and therefore cannot guarantee full compatibility.
